WASHINGTON (AP) — President-elect Joe Biden has chosen Samantha Energy, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations beneath President Barack Obama, to run the U.S. Company for Worldwide Growth. That’s the company that oversees U.S. international humanitarian and growth support.
Biden made the announcement Wednesday and mentioned he was elevating the place to the Nationwide Safety Council within the White Home.
He known as Energy “a world-renowned voice of conscience and ethical readability.”
Energy served as U.N. ambassador from 2013 to 2017. She gained a Pulitzer Prize in 2003 for her ebook “A Downside from Hell: America and the Age of Genocide,” in regards to the U.S. international coverage response to genocide.
